February 5 began the Complex Emergencies and Large Scale Disaster seminar which provides the students with three days of lectures and discussions with an academic focus. Maj Gen James E Taylor , IADC director, welcomed the students and speakers with opening remarks about the multidimensional importance of discussing the seminar topic.
As part of the Academic Program Class 58 had a study trip in the United States of America. We visited Air Force Space Command, El Paso Intelligence Center and Coast Guard units. Learn more in our social media.
December 18th we kicked off our annual Seminar on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. IADC Professor Christopher Teal, the faculty coordinator, opened by presenting the seminar objectives. The IADC Director shared personal reflections from his career on the critical importance of addressing and increasing understanding of these important topics. Click on the image to know more.
During this week, Jannuary 15th - 18th, the IADC will host the World Situation Conference, which offers students a global and sub-regional geopolitical understanding. The event began with a Vice Admiral Edmundo Deville, International Maritime Organization vice-president, presentation on World Maritime Security for Class 58.
August 20, Class 58 had its first Distinguished Speaker, The Mexican Ambassador to OAS, Jorge LOMONACO (Permanent Representative). See more in our social media.
On September 21, Class 58 students went to see the Battlefield at Gettysburg. It is an academic visit that is part of the master's program at the IADC.
Class 58 learned the importance of diversity through the stories told during their Ellis and Liberty Island tour as part of their first academic journey.
Maj Gen Anthony P. German - The 53rd Adjutant General for the State of New York speaks to the students of the Class 58. It was an institutional visit to know the College and to make a presentation to the new students. MG German is the first guest speaker of Class 58 and spoke about the academic trip to New York.

Complex Emergencies and Large Scale Disaster Seminar: On the first day of the seminar, February 5, General Decio Luis Schons, commander of the Brazilian Superior School of War, began the day as our distinguished speaker, covering topics on the importance and employment of armed forces in complex situations and disasters.
Jannuary 15th - 18th - The IADC is hosting the World Situation Conference, which offers students a global and sub-regional geopolitical understanding. The conference will include keynote presentations and group discussions focusing on strategically analyzing political, socio-cultural, economic and defense issues, security, science and technology, as well as the impact of key nations, states actors, alliances or regional initiatives, governmental organizations or international non-governmental organizations.
